Default Tire questions

So I am picking up a set of used DR's for cheap and I'm going to throw them on a pair of my salad shooters for the track. The tire is Nitto NT555r and is a 245/50/16. My question is are these tires any good? And what PSI should I run them at on the track. I'm a little worried its not going to be enough tire for me.

I'm also planning on picking up some skinnies too but I'm a little worried about running a bias ply/radial combo on the hour ride to the track. But yeah I'm hoping with the tires, stall, LTs, and LCA's ill be in the 12s.
