Default 94 z28 lt1 t56

I have started my build on another engine I picked up. I currently stripped it to block and heads. I am looking to freshen it up clean it paint it as well as camming it. I'm looking into the lt4 hot cam kit, id like to hear some feed back before I decide on this kit. Does any one recommend any thing else with this cam kit like push rods new roller tappets, head studs, tune? Not looking for crazy power, the car is my daily in the summer. Any input is appreciated thanks!

The hotcam is a great kit. Sure theres better stuff out there but how much do you wanna spend for little gains?

I'd say springs, tune, and roller rockers are a must. There lots of other vendors that provide complete kits. You can even get a custom grind. I'd check out Advanced Induction and Lloyd Elliot and do a little homework before you bite the bullet. Timing chain would be a good upgrade too

Yup - Llyod Elliot @ Elliot Portworks

Their cams are better spec'd.... And if your have a little extra cash you can get a heads cam package for $1,200 - not a bad deal.

Elliot Portworks LE1 Heads

Call and talk to them they won't steer you wrong!!

I did the cc306 can in my 95 t56 car with matching valve springs stock push rods and lifters. 1.6 roller rockers and ported stock lt1 heads. I had madz28 mail order tune the PCM and have had no issues. Just so u know. My cam is very large and can me hard to street drive at low rpm.

I'd personally suggest, Advanced Induction over Loyd Elliot. I've heard better things from A.I. and a few poor service reviews from Loyd and that they don't do as good of work as they used to.

What power level are you looking to make? Heads, cam, RR, assuming you already have bolt ons.... a street-able 350whp is about a $1500.00 package away. I have LE1 heads, Crane 227 cam, 1.6 RR (and all bolt ons) and should be around 350 engine only.

thanks everyone. I am looking at the Lloyd Elliot 224/230.573/.568 112 LSA. Still have emissions in RI. Stock bottom end, stock intake&tb. I plan on having the heads done and new timing chain. and a mail in tune. I also have a set I believe are mid length headers not sure the brand (but will have to do for now). Any recommendations on head studs vs factory bolts?
