I'd keep the vetter better street driver and calue will increase. That is me anyways. The nova is sweet but it's worth 10-20k and will probably stay or go down in the next couple years

Also that motor maybe cause I am in the ls game but that is wayyy to much money for 600hp. Lsx 454's make that for less right from gm. Save yourself 4 grand or more. http://www.jegs.com/p/Chevrolet-Perf...75108/10002/-1

15k is nuts for that power. I know you mentioned the weight savings but a $4000 block wouldnt be my first choice. Can make much more power, on pump gas and stay streetable. Heck check this thread out:

I would keep the engine in the Nova with the cubes, talk to a good cylinder head guy like Curtis at RFD or Scott Foxwell. I cam tell from the picture unless its a old one those are factory iron heads on it correct?

yeah iron heads that's why I'm not thinking it has a lot of Hp.
It might have the cubes and seems to pull strong off the line for a BB.
And without tearing the motor apart I'm not sure id the lower end is all forged either/
he said it is but I've taken peoples word before and got burned.

i still say run the sachs flywheel on a LSX. still use stock trans and even throw a carb on it. with the dizzy front cover they make now. or the Sometimes Junk MSD box. either way Much better bang for the buck then classic bbc/sbc. i will never go back.
