Default 94-95 trans

ok so my buddy has a 95 lt1 A4 camaro lost the trans...i think i posted up about it before? but anyways he let his room mate drive the car for two weeks and he roasted that trans out of it. long story short my buddy bought a 94 z28 for $550 and is driving it to work every day but the thing goes through as much oil as gas at this point...not to mention how beat up the body is. Any ways pizza informed me that the wiring is different for the 94 and the 95. the kid wants to use the 94 to get the 95 driving again, he cant afford to buy another trans as well as have a car to get back and forth from work. SO question is can we make it work? swap the wire harness? or any other way to do it on a CHEAP budget? lol

should have no problem using the trans in the 94 if its wired up the way it needs to be

all you need to do is swap the wiring harness inside the tranny so the TCC will lock up properly. other wise if your not comfortable doing so you CAN use it. just run around in third till the tranny burns up!

unbolt the tranny pan. . mark the connectors with different color paint and take a picture if your bad with memory of were they go on the 95 tranny. remover wiring from all the solenoids as well as the TCC. then swap the harness and TCC solenoid from the 95 into the 94 tranny. done.

Yeah, pretty much what mike said. Once both trannys are out roll them over side by side and pull the pans. It's pretty self explanatory from there.
