Default Cam sensor

I'm gonna post this here see if you guys have an idea because I can't figure it out. So I have had troubles on start up car was always perfect started within a second. Lately had horrible start ups sometimes I have to turn it over for a few seconds shut it off try again basically do it over and over till it fires because I didn't want tto just let it keep turning over. (Also my tach stopped working) so I figured bad cam sensor. I replaced it wires looked good and same thing happened. I went in HP tuners unchecked the box for cam position sensor and now my tach works but same terrible start up. Anyone have any ideas on this??? I can't figure it out since its been perfect but randomly started doing this.
Thank

If it just cranks and doesn't start then replace or check your ignition relay.

I understand. But you said it cranks sometimes but won't start? I had the same issue. It would crank and crank then it would start and run fine. Until one day it would not start just crank. It was the ignition relay. Not the starter relay.

Try letting the fuel pump prime first leave the key 3/4 first for 3 seconds then start it. If it fixes it something is up with the pump or line in the bucket happened to the wifes car after it was installed at a shop

I tried the relay wish it was that thing is when I have the sensor reading the tach isn't working when i disable it the tach is fine.
I do let it prime before trying to start it I have 3 pumps so I'm careful lol
I think I'm getting somewhere I. Have the intake off tested the wwire right out of the ecu and got power but at the pigtail nothing so made a jumper but have a feeling if one is shot the othet two got pinched somehow. So I'm going run new wires and just hope that does it. Its frustrating because once its running its perfect! But that's the whole point of the cam sensor to tell the engine where to fire on start up (I think anyways)

1-rewire from computer to sensor and replace sensor while there

2- if that doesn't work make sure the cam isn't moving front/ back.

Also since its a 99. There is a 3 wire plug on the pass side front. Make sure that is plugged on tight and wires are good there.
