What heads?
I'm always looking around at new heads eventhough I'm not touching the motor for a while. Anyways, if you had to build a 23* SBC what head would you pick? You may select a raised runner head but it must be 23*
I would pick the Brodix Track 1 cnc 227's. Great flow #'s and seem to perform exceptionally well without having to have too huge of a port. For something on a budget I pick the Dart Pro1 platinums 215cc. Can be had for like 1200 assembled and flow just under 300 cfm and respond well to the right porting. So what would you pick and why?

Done up a 400 and a 355 with these, for the price they are NASTY heads. 355 made 409RWH with just an LT4 hotcam (through a Holley 2BBl TBI I might add), so there is more to be had. Never heard what the 400 did, just built it and gave it back to the owner. Only downside is you need a vortec intake manifold to really get em going good, but they are drilled for both styles, and you need d-port headers.

Nice choice batman! I almost picked those when I was 1st doing heads but then found mine for a great price. Those heads to make some killer power. I was told those heads respond great to a valve job and some 2.02/1.6's.
