20 roll's
me and my buddy went out last night and did some roll's.
hes got a 97 z with pacesetter's and LM1 and a home port and polish job on the heads. clutch is also on the way out and my mods are in my sig. 1st. i honk it off and we are even through 1st 2nd till i miss shift 3rd he pulls a lil but i reel him back in and get by him by a fender at 100 2nd.i honk again this time starting in second and pull half a car and stays that way to 100 again. he wasnt very impressed that i beat him both times lol he did all work himself and something just isnt right with his car. at idle it'll randomly pop and shit. he needs a professional to look at it. i told him to bring it to don and maybe he can figure it out. i think it might have to do with his heads but im not 100% sure.

sounds like the timing is WAY too high. and who ported the heads? if he did then hes asking for trouble unless he does head work has been taught its NEVER a good idea to port them yourself.

if i was him i would buy professionally ported heads, scrap the ones he did himself (no offense) and get it tuned right.... then he would be pullin on u all day long!! (if the car is mechanically in good shape)
