need a motor...
My brothers 98'for my needs a transplant, or a rebuild. Don't know what it needs so I'm trying to cover bases.
Anyone doing a swap with an LS1 that still runs?

I know we had one lined up. He got the $ now... didn't have it then. So either he sits and waits a lil longer or he ends up paying a lot more. Problem is racing season is right around the corner so now is the time to get shit rolling.
Already spoke to the mad scientist and nothing laying around right now, hence the question to any and all who may be doing something. Stock replacement is all he needs and can afford now. If I had the coin to upgrade mine I would but paying it off is more my goal this year. Stock ls1 is all he needs though.

there are cheap motors on craigslist. there was a complete short block for like 500 and a disassembled short block for 325.

Thats the ticket. Get it as complete as possible like valve covers/coil packs ect.

yeah i had a quote for a 6.0 from everetts junkyard. all the accesories low miles in the 60k range for 750 bux complete from intake to oil pan. and he sed he'd throw in the harness if i wanted it un cut!!!
