As gamers, were gonna see a HUGE performance increase once SSD become affordable. Basically no load times for anything, I'm sure skyrim has some loading screens which would be obsolete with 4+ gigs of ram and ssd.

yeah SSD is in the future for me. 500gbx2 sata 3g/s raid 0 is what ill use for now.

Just noticed this, I would run raid 1 personally. For the cost of the 1TB drives it seems silly not to have full back up at all times on two drives. My next build will be getting two 1tb in raid 1. Same performance increase as raid 0, but if you lose or corrupt one HDD the other is safe and sound.

I partitioned my 500g, not considering how big my engineering programs are I am almost out of space on my C: partition... D: has lots to go. Fail

yeah i did that once. partitioned my 200 into 2 100gig parts. and filled it up Fast! and then you start losing performance from smaller and smaller paging files and yada yada.

good luck with that. 1tb drive on the cheap is going for $140+. and a 2tb drive on the cheap(OEM) is $170+. Flooding in Thailand man shits gone THREW THE ROOF for Hard Drives!
