Its a 96mm its pretty big that's why I got the race cover but should be good for both set ups best part is it flows 120+!! And that's the number that matters most to you right? For tuning

* Wheel Dimensions: Compressor: 80.3 mm inducer Thats your measurement for adversized size. Thus the 80 part of s480 if it was a 96 it would read s496 The 120 lbs/m is definatly the number to worry about and yes that converts to supporting 1,200 hp at the crank hope this helps |

the Huge turbo i have on my car is technically a 71mm and flows 81 lbs/m
which is roughly 800 hp at the crank in its sweet spot of the compressor map, that doesn't mean it wont support 900, it just means ill start pushing it past its efficiency at 800 crank. So at 15% drivetrain loss if you can put down 900 at the tires then your turbo will be happy because your making about 1,135 at the crank and that's being conservative, anything below that and your turbo will be basically too big . and i don't mean inducer wise on the compressor, i mean trim, and a/r wise on the compressor housing. |

Its funny because thats what i said to the guy that i bought it from at New Era i said this is a 80mm turbo and he said well theres a few different ways you could describe it but technically this is a 96mm and i was a little confused so this actually isnt a "big turbo" at all should be good for the build Either way just like you said 120 is the number to be thinking about. And its not rude i'm just learning about the turbo build i appreciate any help thats what these forums are for.

Awesome I was hoping you wouldn't take that the wrong way. But that Guy is wrong, only one way to look at it. Measure the inducer lol. But any way should be good but I think if I wereyou I'd consider getting a smaller turbine housing. There easily interchangeable. I'd try to get a. 96 a/r at least with a 6 speed. Especially with a t6 flange.

its kinda weird how alot of people talk about the compressor wheel inducer size, when the compressor exducer size is what really tells you how big the turbo is.

if you take two turbos and both have a 62mm inducer but one has an 76mm exducer and the other has an 82mm exducer, referring to them by the inducer size is irrelevant. to me its just not a good way to identify a turbo.
