I've got a fti 4200 that's setup for nos and drives very close to stock in stop and go. Also running a 28 nitto for now and they work ok. They drive good and do a resonable job at the track

from what I have seen and with personal expirence the best 3 converters on the market for our cars are Neal Chance, Circle D, and Yank. For your particular goals and application I would highly recommend a Yank SS3600. this is a PERFECT street converter for a Bolt on only LT1 and would work well with a cam if it is in your future.

Yank, ATI, PTC, ProTorque, Neal Chance, Ultimate Converters, cant go wrong with any of those.

From my experience, DONT cheap out on the converter, it sucks having to buy a new one when you blow through it..

Not to mention when you loose the converter it could take the transmission along with it

Thanks for all the responses guys, I went with a yank converter. They were having a tax return sale so it was good timing for me. I went ahead and ordered a trans too, I think I burned something up in the stocker at the end of last summer. 4th and OD were acting weird so I said F it might as well do the trans while its on the lift. Just need to get it all tuned in and I'll be set.
