Default Finally resurrecting the turd gen!

So, after parting out the camaro and opening up my own shop again I've been toyless all season. Well, sold a car I took in trade for some labor and been getting caught up at the shop so time to get something together for myself again!
Now, on to the good stuff. The car started life as an 87 formula with a carbed 305 and an automatic. I cloned it into a 91/92 gta, and we swapped in a black interior with fourth gen console. Only other thing I did was add c5 front brakes, fourth gen 3.42 posi rear, subframe connectors, zo6 wheels, and exhaust.
Ran it like that for a few years until the motor started making noise and I parked it. Well, while it was stored at my friends place someone stole the wheels and front calipers :/. Now it's at my new shop where it's been patiently waiting.

So, here's the plan, been back and forth over a lot of ideas but this is the final one and 97% of the parts are here in my possession or in the mail already.
Doing a 5.3 with a gt45 turbo, flipped truck manifolds, front mount intercooler, 60lb injectors, ls1 intake and accessories, and most likely an ls9 cam and springs.
Backing it up with a t56, monster clutch, spohn crossmember and crossmember mounted torque arm. Got another set of c5 front calipers so keeps the vette brakes. Walboro 450 fuel pump, lt1 fourth gen gas tank, and radiator with dual fans out of the 95 camaro. And that's about it. Super budget build with all cheap parts so I can have a toy to play with until I get the 68 done. Gonna run 12-14 psi on pump gas and see what it does. Should be a fun toy. Hopefully getting started on it in the next week or two. More pics to follow as I get into it but here's how everything sits now.

Thanks guys. It's been parked for probably 5-6 years while I've been busy with other stuff. It's time. It's one of my forever fleet. Brought my daughter home from the hospital in it. I'm thinking it'll be a fun bang around toy. Most likely repaint it over the winter. It's got some dings all over from the ice storm a few years ago. So body won't be perfect for now but screw it. My ultimate latest goal is turkey burn but hopin for way before that lol.

Joe, the loose shifter is the pro 5.0 off the camaro. I'm most likely gonna use that one. One on the tranny is a factory hurst with a short stick. I'd probably part with that one if you're interested. Need to see you soon for that power steering pump lol

More car porn to add to the thread.
Everyone puts a soda can next to their turbo for size reference. Well, I used a hug cause that's how we roll around my house lol

Yeah it's nothing huge. Not looking to break any records with it but lots of guys on the turbo forums with them on 5.3 running low 11's to mid 10's with basically same set up. Plenty for this project.

Nice you will have plenty of room in that engine bay to do a turbo setup as opposed to the 4th gen. I like that car, cant wait to see it come together! Are you fabricating your own y pipe flange and cold side?

Yeah I'll be fabricating all my own piping. Not the first third gen I've turbo'd. It will be the first one I've done for myself though
