Eh, between that and the tree falling on the roof a couple months later it was finally the kick in the ass i needed to give the car the full revamping it so desparately needs. Hopefully get it out again next year sometime. As long as I get all my other shit squared away this season and can concentrate solely on the 68 for next year

Much appreciated. But, when I start the 68 and what's left of that zo6 in the driveway will be coming to Athol to get fused together so you'd have almost an hour ride

Talking Back in Action !

The car was out for it's first ride today ! Still still some minor "tweaking" to be done, but all in all I'm real happy with it.

Only significant changes compared to the last engine were the removal of the Smog ( pump is still on ), Removal of the AC system coolant bypass, and the addition of the HO air cleaner. Those things had to get removed in order for the Air Cleaner to fit on top of the TBI unit.

I had planned to put a TB spacer on it but I didn't because I didn't want to deal with modifying the fuel lines toto reach the back of the TB. The only other thing needed to install the Spacer is a couple small spacers under the throttle bracket to keep the throttle and TV cables at teh correct angle. I'll re-visit sometime in thenear future !

Ah the L69 air cleaner, I had that on my 84, even found the right hand scoop. If my ex-brother in law ever sells it he has strict instructions ot give me back the air cleaner, lol I can probably get $200.00 for just the scoop!

Talking

I had a few of them over the years but always sold them off. Now I can't find any decent snorkles or duct-work anywhere !
