Default Header size?

What are you guys using? My motor is a 5.3, fbody .500 cam and a LS1 manifold, backed by a TH400 and 9". Normally I would just stick with 1 3/4" in this application but I see a lot of different header sizes out there so I figured I would actually ask. Hedman makes a bunch of swap headers from 1 3/4 to 2" with stepped headers in between. The most I would do to this engine down the line is a head swap for some PRC heads and a 224R cam, so nothing crazy.

Depends on the header design.

If you plan on turboing get something you can resell without losing on or somethibg you can flip like shorties. With that being said try 17/8" if you can but 13/4 should be fine for your application especially with a ls1 intake
