Clutch time!
Ok, I knew the clutch in the z wasn't too long for this world but now it's getting to the point where today I tried to dump it in second and all it did was slip. Boooo. Ah well, time to start shopping.
Anyhow, I've had good luck with spec in the past but I figured I'd post up looking for feedback from others. I'm also torn on if I should go stage 2 or stage 3. Basically, LT1 putting 319 horse to the wheels (so I'm guessing about 390 at the flywheel?) and after I put a clutch in it it's getting a 125-150 horse shot of nitrous. Any input is appreciated

I hate Spec. I would say Monster but they don't make an LTx clutch. For power like that you will need a Spec Stage 4 if you go that route, I would look at Fidanza, McCleod and RAM first

my spec has not given me issues and ive had it in the car sence 06. its a pucked Stage 3 and wen it heats up it CHATTTERRRRSSSSS. if i was to go with another clutch again with the LTX's your basically stuck with them if you want cheap and readily available. im going stage 3+ next time. i wouldnt go stage 4 or you willl HATE your life.

I was thinking stage 3 if I went spec.
But, doing some more research my wheels are turning. All lt1 clutches use the same pressure plate? Thinking autozone pp and just buying a nice disk. Found a company that has what looks to be a nice sprung hub 6 puck disk with kevlar friction material for $95. I'm thinking I may try it out. Should I be the guinea pig? If it works well I'll have basically a stage 3 for $250.

all LT1 clucthes use the Valeo Outer pressure plate. they DO NOT! use the same steel pressure plate it self, each company has there own and under a loaded clutch slip the stock can explode. NOT a good idea to use a stocker.
