haha its got a papers width clearance. about .020 so it wont hit and ill get better oil to the chain from now on as well.
on a side note. i bought a Lunati HEAVY DUTY single link belt chain on the first build of this motor. oil pump gear stripped and i did all the bearings and lifters. figured the timing set i paid 200 bux for would be fine. NOPEEEE fuckin thing stretched out and i was losing almost 2 degrees of timing. i bought this 100 dollar comp magnum set and an electric water pump and i still cant feel play in the set. WIN!
And it Does feel GREATTTT to have the motor sitting inside the car now. and with the eibach springs and new upper control arms as well the front end of this car should be in GREAT shape finally!!!
Anyone else do something like this? swap k-mambers and the front suspension with it? im thinkin i need another alignment? we'll see. need to get the FUKIN thing running first. next weekend should be wiring and clutch hydraulics with pedals and its drivable. SHOULD BE!!! thats if i get my crossmember in time! Who has an M6 cross member i can borrow for a week or so? i have the LT1 crossmember in ther now with just 2 bolts holding it up with the torque arm helping. cant drive it like that of course but it shouldnt hurt anything letting it sit.
