Im wondering the same thing. The cinsike in my 95 was in perfect shape when I sold it.

My console is mint :) Took it out tho to put an LS1 console in :D

Dunno about console but I know southern cars tend to suffer from cracked dashboards. It's a trade off free of rust but your dash will eventually look like a topigraphical nap of the united states

thats why they make all sorts of UV blocker for the dash
