just regular motive 4.30s lol, they hoped who ever got em wouldnt notice.

lol guy messaged me back and said motive doesnt make the AX series anymore, thats funny cause i called them and they said theyre a really popular gear set and they have no plans to stop production of them. gotta love ebay.

the messed up part you can get the normal motives for less than what you paid retail

well hes offering me 50 dollars back which would make it right. we got to the bottom of it and motive is back ordered on 4.30 ax sets and doesnt know when theyll get more. just my luck, so were trying to find another brand 4.30 light weight set or i just may go with what i got. idk yet. richmond sells 4.33 light weight but 4.30 was pushing it. ,.03 doesnt sound like much but it is.

i dont know if i trust back cut gears for drag racing. but i dont trust aluminum yokes either so cary on but id say keep the ones you got there stronger. there is a reason the metal was/is there. just my opinion.

if it were me i'd be putting in 4.56's ;)

if i had long tubes, sfi balancer, sfi flywheel and a valve train upgrade and don live tuned it id prob go 4.50s.

Case has a hole in it?????

theres 5 allen screws that hold the case halves together, the cases spun and two of the allen bolt heads sheared off, the other 3 are bent lol. i torqued the ring gear bolts to 85ft lbs last time, oh well off to hardware store to pick up new screws.

project completed! gears are nice and quiet, very faint whine at highway speed. i love the 4.30s car feels like it has balls now. the 4.11s were a good improvement but these are more my style.
