Motor is out. Spun #6 rod bearing. You can see it over lapped the other side of the bearing.

Well I got the motor today. Thing is super clean. Also it turns out that the gentleman I bought it from is the owner of a shop called Anti venom and his name is Greg Lovell. He does all the project cars for GM high tech magazine. Got to see a bunch of the project cars. Nice guy too!!!

Well sending out the heads tomorrow for a clean up and valve job. Going to see how much he can deck them to bump compression up. Here is the motor. Home safe and now time to put it back together.

You need the heads I have. Smaller chambers which run more compression without losing P/V and they flow better to boot.

you should look into these heads, the amount youll have to mill to get the compression you want will tighten up the P/V considerably, and for the $ youll get better head flow and ...................Shit What don said. haha Good luck though with the build!!!:sCh_eleguitarist:

Yeah its 150$ for the clean up job on my heads. Don't have the extra money for the heads and then to have those cleaned up too

I like the bare aluminum look myself. Coming along good, how long until the heads are done.

Picking them up today or tomarrow. They are all done. Ordered my head gaskets, bolts, and plugs. Should be going in the car end of the week.

Well when you have a kid, mortgage, car payment, etc you will understand what building on a budget means. Even a extra 150$ here and there adds up quick. Never ran them before and I am not going to be making any more power really.
