Get yourself some Nitto DRs for the back, you won't be disappointed.

You get what you pay for with tires. If you want any traction I would spring for something better. IMO.

Demon the Nexen tires are garbage. Treadlife sucks and they get no traction what so ever in rain or even on alittle sand. Spring for a better tire man. You'll be happier.

well like many others I'm strapped for $$ and spending more than $120-130ea on tires at one time is dumb. especially when I have three full sets already between my brother and I.
I've done some hunting around on what some say about those tires and they do get a pretty good review for the type of driving I'll do the most of. Summer dry weather they are similar to the toyo proxy yet slightly better than say hankook or kumho.
if I spring for the whole thing now I'll be happy enough to have them on the car for this summer. otherwise I need to wait till mid summer or later to afford better rubber.

I'm going on Vacation in April 2weeks after dyno day so $$ for that comes 1st.
so an average of $450-500 now or 600-700 for rubber later just to have what? more expensive tires?

I've had fkn mastercraft's on the car since I got it and I've only put 16.5k miles on the car in 2yrs... I think they'll get the job done.

also found out that Michelin manufactures them, so how bad can they be..

Dude the BFG Gsports arent that expensive. I think I paid like 140 ea for the 17s and 180 ea for the 18s.

tire rack has the BFG g-sport super sports for 135 a piece...those are a good tire and not a bad price....and holy crap did the price of tires go up haha. In all honesty id say wait till u can afford a good set of tires. U do get what u pay for and its not something id personally go on the cheap route with. U never know what can happen.

And it's the only part of the car that touches the road.

true but I've dealt with cheap tires for a while so if I jump on the rims now I'll hold out for better rubber. but I'd really like to get them on the car as soon as I can....

You got the cash in hand for the wheels and it would just seem stupid to leave them sitting around in their boxes in the garage for months when they can be all happy on the T/A. Get what you want and just save for better ones down the road. As I always say its YOUR car and if youre happy with it then everyone else can straight FUCK OFF!!!!! lol

shopping around for rubber sux cuz the deal I can get from OEW is soo much more tempting than waiting.

i would JUMP on those nittos in a heartbeat!! my second choice would be the BFG's and only cuz there 30ish dollars more, if same price id run BFG's

I think I paid $150 for the Extremes and $160 for the DRs... :gripe: Although that did include shipping and I had the DRs heat cycled at $15 each IIRC

ya when i got the nittos the first time the 555s were 140 and the DRs 160 mounted and balanced..i was pissed when i went to get em this time around and they went up in price. I actually ended up getting the 2 cheaper than cost cause they were sitting at another store so i lucked out. but then town fair fucked my car so i guess i didnt really luck out cause i still have to pay for my hockey sticks to be fixed. lol

I'm driving mostly summer.... so nitto's look more tempting...
