Seems the question gets asked a lot on there, but few have actually done it.

The links below are not fbody related, but might give you some more ideas and info.

This company makes kits for the 3800, $$$ and poor customer service.

sweet, thank you. I'll dig through them after work tonight.

And no, I will not be buying a kit. This isn't my first rodeo and won't be the first car I've turbo'd. Fabbing up a turbo setup isn't a big deal for me.

I know you are building your own kit. I thought the cartuning site might have helpful info, but I checked and they don't even have pictures for their fbody kit yet. I'm interested in what your piping might look like.

Me too lol. Last third gen I turbo'd was a camaro with a v8 and a tubular k member. This one is none of those.
Basically I'll plop the motor in and see where they fit. I plan to run twins too to complicate things even further. That and I have no grill like a camaro so I need to sort out getting airflow to an intercooler. Plus I'm anal and kinda wanna keep the a/c too just to further complicate things :D.

Should be interesting but I'm fairly confident once it's in there I'll get it all sorted out. Almost positive I'm going through with this and I'm hoping to have it out in July if funds allow.

Probably out of budget but procharger makes a IC setup for thirdgen birds.

Yeah, I'm looking at a total budget of around 1,000-1,500 for everthing up and running. Last time I checked the procharger intercooler was most of that lol. But, I may steal their idea using eBay cores. Or, open up the indented teardrops on the nose where the parking/fog lights are and just do a front mount. I'm just nervous on that one cause I don't want it to look hacked.

Seen that done on an lt1 fourh gen bird and it looked badass. Just not sure how well it would work on the third gen nose.
