cars out of the garage and i drove it around the block runs good got to get it tuned though.

941LE 03-09-2012 02:24 AM

nice Ben. When do you plan on getting it tuned?

98 hoe 03-09-2012 02:28 AM

i already submited the tune sheet and payed for it i just need to send out the computer. so soon maybe monday i will ship it out. haha i got my cut out in too same spot under the car as yours sounds nice. runs good tons of power. have to just hide the cutout wires and put the shifter boot back in. then the springs stripes and frame connectors.

ILuvPizzaTimes10 03-09-2012 02:35 AM

SWEET!!!! dont drive it much if at all till the tune. flooding of the bottom end can happen very quick on un-seated rings!

KLAB 03-09-2012 04:46 AM

car looks awesome man live a 3rd gen and an lt1 parked next to eachother with the lights on looks like a morphisis lol

98 hoe 03-19-2012 01:30 AM

got the pcm back from madz28 shes all tuned up and running good. just have to finish buffing it put the hockey stripes and lowering springs in and the new wheels on. can not wait! on yea insure and register it too.

941LE 03-19-2012 02:27 AM

What wheels did you end up getting?

98 hoe 03-19-2012 03:05 AM

Black z06 wheels with a polished lid. 18x9.5 up front 18x10.5 out back

SLP IROC-Z 03-19-2012 03:06 AM

were they on craigslist?

ILuvPizzaTimes10 03-19-2012 01:59 PM

Holy Expensive tires!!!!! Congrats!!! hope she runs good for yah man!!

98 hoe 03-19-2012 03:13 PM

Yea they where on cl the kid had em on a turd gen and smoked the shit out of them till they all blew so yea it needs tires. But I work with a guy that's giving me some o its all goo. They had 265 35 18 up front and 295 30 18 out back I got a free set of 245 45 18 going up front and 275 40 18 out back and there free with half tread can't beat that ha ha

ILuvPizzaTimes10 03-20-2012 05:55 PM

better be careful. with the rim width and running that small of a tire. its reall easy to roll the bead off the rim.

SLP IROC-Z 03-20-2012 11:24 PM

my car used to have 18s on it, it had 295s in the rear, they were tall like 27". they were also to wide and rubbed the lip and wheel well.

ILuvPizzaTimes10 03-20-2012 11:43 PM

Its better to have them rub and be the right tire for the width of the rim. Id say run the 275s up front and get 295s for out back.

98 hoe 03-21-2012 12:06 AM

well they r already mounted i dont plan on autocrossing the car so im not to worried about it. if you saw the challange it was to get them over the bead in the rim i do not see them poping off any time soon. jays running 275 on his new wheels and i believe they r a 0.5 in the rear as well.

ILuvPizzaTimes10 03-21-2012 01:52 AM

i was more worried about the fronts. are the sidewalls of the tires straight up or at an inward angle. Thats what you have to worry about. and by rolling the bead i mean pushing the outside bead of the rim inward on a hard corner/stop. there is a reason tires have recommended rim widths. and thats why. just trying to help yah not trying to come across as a dick or anything.

98 hoe 03-21-2012 02:07 AM

I would have to look at them again I'm not sure. I hear what ur saying and I know we r all just trying to help each other and spread the knowledge even though we may not have much!

Formula413 03-21-2012 02:26 AM

I thought those tires seemed narrow enough to be concerned about too, maybe check with some tire shops and see if they consider it safe?

SLP IROC-Z 03-21-2012 02:40 AM

they recommend 9" wheel width for a 245 45 18. i think he'll be ok. looks like the section width for a tire that size is around 9.5".

941LE 03-21-2012 03:11 AM

It'll be fine. You know how many European guys run the stretch and poke wheel set up? A shit ton.

KLAB 03-21-2012 03:28 AM

qft^ Should have seen the honda I saw in lowell today... The wheels were at almost 45* angle. hello0o0o0o0oo!

:max:
