You got a point there, but in a way that wouldn't be very economical, in the short run at least. They would have to dump millions and millions into new design and engineering for a car to eclipse out their star car. The vette has always been Chevys top performing super car since the 50s, and they are the only auto marker as far as I know to stick with it since the start and keep improving on it. Now I think that is much more impressive than pooping out a new design like everyone else....
And I would also like to think people without 100k see the ZR1 and decide to get a base C6 or a ZR1, not with intentions to outperform the ZR1 but to have a affordable street car LIKE it that isn't exactly as insane but.. You get it.
100k for a bunch of un-necessary shit imo unless you hit the road track every weekend. Then in that case it isn't a car about rarity and gunuinity its just a straight up thrasher car mass produced to provide as many people with insane fun around the world. That's success.
