Welp, either that or get a different style hood....

I'd vote for staying with the bolt-on 2.5" Cowl Harwood.

It would make the Battle Tuna look ready for some action!

LOL. Yep. Never heard anyone refer to their car this way. In a lot of your posts, you seem kinda down on your car.....but calling it a Battle Tuna seems to be saying it's actually a sleeper and don't underestimate it.

I've got the Harwood 2 1/2" Cowl on my car and it's a nice fit visually:)

Much easier to deal with than Pin-On too:shiftyeyes:

haha, i dont talk down on it, i just know my true pecking order in the world of fast cars. i got the idea because ls1 front ends are called catfish, so lt1 = tunafish? lol

but for sure its a sleeper, no one sees the +30hp and !300lbs. ive surprised alot of people

Almost Any aftermarket hood should really be pinned on. they are rather flimsy. But getting a hinged/bolt on hood makes opening it alot easier. and just pin it too. especially around/near the headlights on the LT1 cars. they curl up right there.

Ah...Thanks Pizza!!!

I wonder if Harwood ever sells slightly dented hoods at a much lower price. Maybe a hood that got dented in shipping. I can't find a Harwood 12201 on EBay or anywhere else at a cheaper price than the $535 list price.

Ill keep my eyes on the classified as well, one might turn up, but the hood is on the end of my to do list.

First step is black zr1s with machined lip for front of car lol
