If I'm racing either its 100+ until I go e85 and on the street i won't be pushing more than 12psi with straight pump ever again! Now i just need to decide what to do grab another or repair mine. I really was looking forward to the x275 race

The factory knock sensors suck. I'll rarely tune off them. These cars spark knock all the time and the factory sensor doesn't pick it up.

Ill do my best man :) once i see the damage I'll know which direction to go

You learn tuning on the street. I use the dyno and experience.
An auto with high load always lives longer with less timing with pump gas. Your tune is almost the same as mine while I'm spraying methenol with the high octain benefit.

Add methenol or run high octain and it helps keep bearings in the motor.
Also make sure you setup the correct converter gap or it will push on the main bearings.

Ya i won't be running that timing and boost on pump gas again unless I add meth. I called ati on the converter gap I believe it was 3/16" ill have to check. I know i have 1 "spacer" in there.
Thanks for the insight though Don I appreciate it. Good luck tomorrow ill be tearing down my motor all day. Lol

Well got the motor out and just as expected found one nasty spun bearing. Actually stacked on top of each other. Couple others were a little beat. So tomorrow picking up another motor found it for $300. Haven't decided if I want to just throw it back in stock bearings and all (inspired by dudeman lol) but a very frustrating thing to fail. If I had some bent rods and was on the edge i would go forged but I really am not up for spending a ton on a motor right now so I will try this next stock bottom and hope for the best. But believe me this time around either ill add meth or always run race gas when I run 12+psi and 13+° timing. Here's a few pictures

It's hard to tell from that pic but the spun bearing shaved the crank down pretty good too, there's a nice lip between the journals for #5 and #6.

Shavings in the pan:

Could be just bearings but I've seen that a lot on nitrous motors. Lack of octain hammering the piston/rods.
