I thought it was the width, not height, that was smaller on the Nittos? I know my speedo is accurate, if they were that much shorter it should read a little high.

.5" on the outside diam wont make shit bit of difference. fuck run your tires at 55 psi then run em at 15 psi. the effective diameter changes and the speedo is still DAMN close.
either way Wils after ALL this debate. if you have the spacers Use Them!!! if you didnt have them i wouldnt say go out of your way to get some. |

Nitto's website tells you the diameter if you wanna check

Yes you do, you just don't know it yet. ;) Once you try them you will never go back.

I daily drive on them cause I want good traction all the time. I'd rather have purpose driven tires than matching tires that don't perform as well. Remember 'vettes don't have four matching tires. ;)

They do kick up a little more road debris, but as for traction it is night and day compared to street tires, even cold. When I say "cold" I don't mean like when it's 30 degrees out, but normal Spring/Summer weather they are light years better than street tires without doing anything to heat them up. I can stomp on it from a dig or a roll at any speed in any gear and they rarely if ever break loose. With street tires the car would go sideways on the 1-2 shift under 50% throttle. I think Nitto DRs are an exception when it comes to needing heat to have good traction. I really think of them more as extreme performance street tires as opposed to ET Streets which are more like street legal drag tires. They might work better when they're hot, but even at ambient temperature they are a huge improvement.
