Ok, I know it's an fbody forum but hey, there's other stuff here and there, and I was told pics or ban lol.

This car is my other halfs baby. We originally picked it up after the previous owners brother put it into a wall at a racetrack. Car had 27k on it at the time and had been a road race car it's whole life.
We put a new passenger side on it, put a full interior back in it, and drove the hell out of it for 2 years.
Well, then it happened. Back 2 Decembers ago we had that really bad ice storm. Thanks to falling trees and large chunks of ice the car got pummeled.
Here's how it looked then:

Anyhow, car had full coverage on it. Worked with the insurance appraiser and got them not to total the car. Wound up about $200 away though lol.

So, we decided to take the check, pay off what was left of the loan, and slowly gather parts. Well, like any other project, life set in and it took a LOT longer than it should have to get back to it.
When we originally bought the car she loved everything about it, except that it didn't have a sunroof. I told her I refused to put an aftermarket one in but if the car ever needed a roof we'd find a factory sunroof roof.
As you can see from the pics, I ate my words on that one lol. Ever realize how rare factory impreza sunroofs are? After a 4 month search we wound up driving to long island ny where we picked up a complete sunroof roof.
While we were at it we decided to put the rollbar back in, with a few tweaks to make it more livable on a daily basis.

Now, bear in mind, this is a girls car, and she's tired of being asked if it's her boyfriends car. So, the rollbar went the closest think we could find to sti pink :)

And the new parts along with some body work. All said and done we replaced both front fenders, the hood, the roof, the trunk, and both passenger side doors. That along with the cars prior history means the only original panels left on the car are the drivers front door, drivers rear quarter, and the front bumper lol.

Tomorrow I'm going to button up a few final odds and ends and swap the clutch, tranny, and coil overs. Keep in mind 90% of this has been done in the last few weeks. I'm beat lol. Awesome except the graphics, but just not my thing. quality wise it looks great!

i dont think the graphics look bad on the car i think it works...just not crazy about the hood but i think it al lworks together

Yeah the graphics are the Subaru factory rally car graphics.
As for the hood, it's tough to tell in the pics but it's carbon fiber. She wanted her carbon pink so I ghosted pink pearl on it. In person you can still clearly see the weave under the pearl. Worked out nicely. Just tough to see on here.
And thanks for the compliments guys. I realize the look isn't for everyone but hey, I don't think she'll be getting asked if it's her boyfriends anymore. That and all together, I think it just works :)

Yeah, the backstory kinda sucks but in the end it's all for the better. We probably never would have gone this far if we'd just patched it back together.
Now I'm thinking enjoy it for the rest of the season and come spring time next year we'll do the turbo swap and meth injection we've had sitting here for the last 2 years :)

It's funny you say that. We're most likely going to paint them pink. But, we may just wait since it's going to need tires soon anyhow and either way I'm out of time before Saturdays show lol

Ive seen it done on a customers WRX with very similar wheels. not pink and black but Suby blue and black and it looked fuckin awesome!!

The first two pics are still painful to see. The year and a half sucked but worth the wait to have it done right.

Still finalizing the details but as of now it looks like her subie and the Camaro are going to be there on behalf of the club :) So if that stays on you can come see it then too. Along with the z's public debut. Just need to get that one done this week

Gonna try and finish up the bodywork tomorrow. Then just gotta hang the new fenders and bumper covers, and it's ready to go. Hopefully have it all painted Monday or Tuesday. That gives me the rest of the week to wetsand and buff. As long as no issues pop up it should be all set.

And do I get to put in my big blue bottle to make up for my lack of cubic inches lol?

And her favorite one, second place for best Subaru at the Import Evolution show at the DCU center :)
All in a car that gets driven close to a thousand miles a week. Lots of cleaning to keep up with the all out show cars ;)
