You write CHROME wheels twice Jay and you spell it DIFFERENTLY BOTH times! WTF Jay???????????????????????? LOL

My84Z 03-01-2011 12:56 AM

thought you said exterior was gonna be 100% stock

ILuvPizzaTimes10 03-01-2011 12:58 AM

IROC's!!!!

Formula413 03-01-2011 01:08 AM

Definitely IROCs, I think almost any 17" wheel looks awkward on a 3rd gen

irockidz28 03-01-2011 01:12 AM

x3 on the irocs

SLP IROC-Z 03-01-2011 01:14 AM

if i could find a set of chrome 88-90 iroc wheels id be all over it, problem is finding a set of refinished or mint original iroc wheels is HARD

irockidz28 03-01-2011 01:19 AM

true that i bought a set of 85-87 for the s10 and i have hours hours and hours into trying to get them perfect but they never had any actual damage and i got em cheap

frankzlt1 03-01-2011 01:59 AM

I like the iroc they always to me looked the best on third gens.

bottledbird68 03-01-2011 03:15 AM

I'd vote for silver painted factory 10 spokes myself.

But, keeping the stockish look may I suggest chrome 17" IROC's? Since you're thinking chrome anyhow...

i found a place that sells chrome 88-90 style iroc wheels, 300 a piece!

My84Z 03-01-2011 07:26 AM

http://customwheelsmarket.com/17irchwhri.html i don't think that's too bad

Granted they're not 91-92 style but then again neither are 10 spokes ;)

I think 17's+ look dam good on 3rd gens. But 10 spoke ss's idk, don't think those would look good. If its down to only those two I'd say the iroc wheels.

ls6monte 03-02-2011 12:36 AM

These are two 3rd gens I found on pro-touring.com. I like them both. Any ideas Joe?

Jeez those cars are slammed. Second one looks like Year One snowflakes?

ZFreie 03-02-2011 12:53 AM

Chrome sucks, I had them on my 300m. They weren't properly taken care of before I got the car so pitting and clear coat peeling. I will NEVER own chrome rims again. To much work to keep looking good. Just my two cents.

TBerry95z28 03-02-2011 02:09 AM

4th gen wheels!

irockidz28 03-02-2011 03:26 AM

ill try and say this in a nice way...i HIGHLY dislike they way both of those cars look lol

*LS1* Queen 03-02-2011 04:56 AM

zo6 motorsport wheels

irockidz28 03-02-2011 11:01 PM

those arent terrible they could work pretty well i guess

*LS1* Queen 03-02-2011 11:15 PM

i like the chrome irocs better

SLP IROC-Z 03-02-2011 11:16 PM

the reason im on the fence is because im going to be buying an ls1 donor car and would like to use the rearend and because its wider the iroc wheels would stick out pretty good in the rear. if i go with irocs ill have to find a nice 3rd gen rearend which is not going to be easy. i really like the chrome 10 spokes but i always wanted the exterior to look stock, so its a tough choice.

Formula413 03-02-2011 11:28 PM

I really think the IROC wheels look better but I didn't think of the rearend issue. Do fourth gen wheels cause any fitment issues in the front?

SLP IROC-Z 03-02-2011 11:36 PM

id have to use spacers in the front

irockidz28 03-02-2011 11:45 PM

i think you need like 2" spacers to run 4th gen wheels on a third gen

ls6monte 03-02-2011 11:59 PM

Saw this car at the Fort Adams show 2 years ago. I thought it looked very sweet with the chrome Iroc's on it. Very nicely done.

couple with chrome 88-90s

TBerry95z28 03-04-2011 04:08 AM

I like both sets of 4th gen wheels but the 10 spokes better!

Yessir, 2" spacers in the front of my third gen to fit the zo6 wheels

Batman 03-05-2011 09:18 PM

IROC wheels are way nicer, I like 91-92 Z28 wheels too. I don't like the 10 spokes or Chrome, so you are on your own.

SLP IROC-Z 03-28-2011 11:57 PM

ok still on the fence about this, considering going with something other than stock or replicas to, post up ideas? these wheels are an option to fwiw.
