Whos good at installing radios?

I wanna swap the JVC deck that i have in the car now out with a Alpine that i had in my LT1. Who here wants to swap them shits out? Eletrical shit is not my forte and im the type that can shock myself with 2 wires that arent connected to anything.

c4boom 01-02-2012 12:58 PM

its a haul for ya but i am fairly good at it. have only done a few custom enclosers and such but a head unit in a f bucket thats a easy one

KB93z28 01-02-2012 11:28 PM

Yeah, I think I was swapping out head units in my cars at 16 haha, shits cake especially if you get the eazy connector from walmart, then your not messing up the factory wires in your car.

KLAB 01-03-2012 06:17 PM

dude just pull it out and get some electrical connectors and a wire crimp! match the wires with a guide. or ill come do it. for a discount on LTx parts hahah

941LE 01-03-2012 07:16 PM

now you actually gonna show up or just blow me off for a 3rd time?

frankzlt1 01-05-2012 02:31 AM

Is the factory connectors still there. If so you can get an adaptor at Walmart to change over to the wireing other new radio, that's all I did its easy and the adapter comes with a wireing diagram.

941LE 01-05-2012 03:20 AM

ya i smartly took the harness off the radio and left it with the car when i sold my 1LE. Had to order another one and ill wire that with the harness for the car when i get back in a couple weeks. Stupid AT

black heartbeat 01-05-2012 03:37 AM

if you need i think i can come do it next week, I'm pretty good with radio installs
