Just picked these up. Hoosiers 27x11.5x15 QTP. These should do better than the Nittos

All mounted up. And got some new ARP wheel studs. Got me a race car now.

Back when the car was a m6 it went a 1.52 with these tires. Best I could muster with the nittos was a 1.61

My84Z 03-07-2012 01:34 PM

You are also launching at 6k with a manual no? Much more into the powerband no?

smokinss 03-07-2012 03:33 PM

True. BUT I've got a 2 step with a trans brake so I can launch anywhere in the powerband I choose. The nittos wouldnt hold more than a 2800rpm launch or didn't react to well to flashing. The bottle just overpowers them when it hits.

SLP IROC-Z 03-07-2012 03:52 PM

nothing hits the tires harder than a stick car, not a converter, not a brake.

ls6monte 03-07-2012 05:36 PM

Nice.

LSX-Nation 03-08-2012 12:13 AM

ZFreie 03-08-2012 01:36 PM

Looks like sex man, the only reason I don't like the MT or QTP is they look like a slick, lol there is no stealth factor

SLP IROC-Z 03-08-2012 03:52 PM

looks good! 27s look perfect. get it to the track

BadBird505 03-08-2012 04:46 PM

ILuvPizzaTimes10 03-08-2012 09:11 PM

quik95lt1 03-08-2012 09:16 PM

holy wide ass tire 11.5" lol.........i only run a 10" on mine lol

SLP IROC-Z 03-08-2012 09:42 PM

theyre 11.5 section width, 10" tread width. they advertise the DOT tires differently than non DOT slicks
