ls oil catch can install
Just picked up a single catch can used for a good deal. Just wanted some input on how to route the lines. Right now the pcv is deleted and I have a breather on the oil cap. Iknow I need to use a regular oil cap with no breather. Other than that I've seen a couple ways to route it. Just wanted some clarification.

I thought a catch can had to go in the PCV line, where else would it go?
|
It can be routed a few different ways actually. Did you check out the LS1 tech forums? Or just google image it man, lots of different ways to do such. Looks like a dual catch can setup would be much more effective imo.

Thanks I ended up getting what I needed.

Ahh nice setup even keep the MAF in the loop for those that dont have a breather tuned in.

if you run a breather that isnt attached to the air intake after the maf then your are sucking in un metered air threw the PCV System. will it make a difference? Maybe. its best to ask the tuner BUT i know its not recommended. un-tuned anyway.

Bingo....

Thought u said u deleted the pcv?

I did. But the breather just smoked and spewed oil everywhere. Plus I was still burning oil out the exhaust. So I bought the catch can which has a pcv valve in the top of it with a fitting for one hose, then the other side is just a regular fitting with a line out. Much better than the factory shit.
