Well just to clarify this is going to be a long thread as its going to take a while before it starts coming together. Started doing some tear down today after work. Nothing to crazy but just a start. Not too sure what's going to happen as far as a engine. Time and money will dictate that.

Nope push rods all looked good. Did notice some oil coming out the front of the tb.

Oil in the ports too?

Yeah just thinking its from the pcv system.

Did some more work on the car. Got the drivers side head off.

Looks like some detonation in another cylinder.

I would guess plenty of detonation throughout the years on nitrous. Probly just hammered the rod bearings to nothing.

Got something up my sleeve. Still going to be a while but what I have in mind should make for a nice ride while getting my bang for the buck. No more nitrous this time.

Little more progress today. Cam, oil pump etc all off.

Found this when I took off the oil pump. Explains why my oil pressure always was up and down. Not sure how this happened.

that can only happen when installing the tube. easy to do really. they are a mother fucker to get on there.

Yeah but when I did the last cam swap I didn't remove the oil pump. Factory fuck up maybe? No big deal though.

Going with a different look in the engine bay. Murdered out look. Still need to do the rest.
Good news is if I get the new job I've been interviewing for I can start driving my wife's z28 and sell my Saturn and put that money towards a engine. Woohoo!!!!

Well I finished spraying the strut towers and radiator support. Picked up a engine stand today and the block is coming out this weekend.

I like it, are you painting the engine at all.

We will see. Might do the Holley black crinkled valve covers. I picked up a polished wieand/lingenfelter manifold for dirt cheep. Going throw it on and try it out. I know some are totally against it because of heat soak. The way I see it is its no different than a victor jr or any other metal manifold. It does add some weight though.

I would invest in a JW Ultrabell for that tranny. Ive seen a bunch of TH350s tear up the cases before.

Yuck, re sell it and make some money. Heat soak is an issue but the intake is just garbage.

Well more good news. Got the job. Starting Dec 10 and selling the Saturn that weekend and picking up a 30k mile ls1. As long as the car deal comes through.
