winter hasn't been too bad so far....

I brought the 68 into work today. I haven't driven it for about a month so it was a pretty good day! Not bad for being December 19th.

I got the cover off the '68. I fired it up, and let them horses sing.

Yep. Somebody had to put the jinx in. The snowmobile is sitting in the shed all lonely.

Glad you like the car!

I've thought about it, but i really want a driver that is good for almost all weather conditions (except for newly put down salt or road treatment).

DAWG 12-20-2014 03:32 PM

Lookin good!
:megaman:
But now winter will start sucking real soon!

Formula413 12-20-2014 04:03 PM

Crud. Ever since that huge winter storm we got at the end of October 2011, I forget that winter doesn't start until Dec 21st.

Formula413 12-21-2014 02:52 AM

That was crazy. I remember being outside and listening to branches snap off trees at the rate of two or three a minute.

10 days with no power. It was a rough time.

At least today is the shortest day for sunlight. It can only get sunnier from here.

Mystery Bird 12-22-2014 01:25 PM

I am jealous. Over here in the far corners of MA there is more salt than snow on the roads and I wouldn't even consider driving mine. It's been put up for a month now and I'm already having withdrawals.

KLAB 12-23-2014 04:27 PM

sweet, need any more camaros in the parking lot / mechanical engineers at p&w?

:klab:

Right now we have 2 ME's and both have been there about 25 years. They know their stuff, but if one of them retires or we if need a new one coming in.............you never know.

And another Camaro in the parking lot would be so very nice.

Yep. Last year I had so many house projects, I never got stir crazy from not driving the Camaros.

Most years .....I start searching and studying every 80 and 81 black Z28 Camaro with a camel/tan interior that is for sale on EBay or Craigslist and try to figure out what I would need to sell or hide in order to get one. Winter always ends before I figure it out though. lol.

lately Dawg....it's just rain, rain and more rain.

I'll take the rain over a blizzard any day though.

DAWG 12-24-2014 12:27 PM

Today would be a good day for washing it. High of 55 degrees.

Formula413 12-24-2014 01:32 PM

I am loving the lack of snow but man, we've had about ten minutes of sunlight in the past two weeks!

DAWG 12-24-2014 05:23 PM

I hear ya Alex, Im going on the next Hawaii job to get my tan back.

DavidS 01-02-2015 07:13 PM

Jan 2nd 2015 and the weather is still cooperating!

The place I wanted to have lunch at today was closed. It's a gas station that was converted to a restaurant. It's a nice place for a picture though.

Thanks Frank! It's on Cottage Grove Road in Bloomfield and is close to where I work.

It's not in a great location for a restaurant and I'm not sure if he went out of business.

DAWG 01-03-2015 01:55 PM

gee its amazing that we can drive our Cars in january and not worry about Rust lol.

It was great while it lasted. My father-in-law tells me about 10 times a year that "Nothing good lasts forever, and nothing bad lasts forever".

DAWG 01-07-2015 11:40 AM

winter is about to kick us in the ass! BRRRRRR.

KLAB 01-07-2015 09:38 PM

That's a nice picture Dave, what did you take that with?

Thanks! I used a Panasonic Lumix DMC-LX5. They sell for about $200 on Amazon and are really easy to use.

I picked up a used Nikon D3000 10.2 MP Digital SLR Camera on EBay but I haven't played much with it yet.

KLAB 01-08-2015 07:47 PM

nice, it looks really good for that camera. I want to get a DSLR. I have an old Minolta film SLR that I haven't played much with yet either.

Formula413 01-08-2015 10:39 PM

I have a Lumix too, different model, I don't see many of those.
