Awe man, you got finger prints on the valve covers.

:drools: I'm just jealous.

Camaro9969 11-03-2015 03:57 PM

Looks great man!!

DAWG 11-03-2015 09:22 PM

debating on giving it some Dyno time to tweak in the Carb and timing.
around 500 bucks for 1/2 day and i supply the fuel etc.

ILuvPizzaTimes10 11-04-2015 12:32 AM

that will work fine if the weather never changes ever again. haha carbs will always need to be messed with. just get a wideband O2 and leave it in the car.

DAWG 11-04-2015 11:36 AM

that's half the fun pizza, tweaking in the carb etc. I'm always trying to find ways to tinker lol.

jeff68 11-04-2015 06:01 PM

Man, that sure looks nice!
I hope you yanked off that "Stop / Read" tag & threw it right in the trash!!! You don't need anybody trying to tell you what to do.

On a serious note, what's the small silver 'button' in the middle of the RH side front freeze plug?

DAWG 11-04-2015 10:53 PM

warranty thingy lol.
If i remove I dont get a 2 year warranty.
Starter and 140 GPH fuel pump showed up today

I also put in a stainless 3" exhaust and put 2 O2 sensor Bungs in to use my hand help O2 scanner.

All that money and cheap scorpion rockers? Also the manifold looks like a edelbrock knock off correct? Looks pretty solid though. I love my quick fuel carb.

DAWG 11-07-2015 12:42 PM

Scorpions are not that bad, I prefer harland Sharps or Crane .
yeah the intake is a hurricane intake, my Edelbrock super victor is going on before I do anything else.

My84Z 11-07-2015 01:27 PM

It does look purty! I'd dyno it yourself to make sure he wasn't race gas and advancing timing on you. Nice looking motor though.

ILuvPizzaTimes10 11-07-2015 04:38 PM

Speaking of scorpionnive had a set grenade on me. Be very weary. Check them often. They dont like alot of spring load. And i wouldnt go and just drop another intake. Aftermarket block and heads means the intake would have been cut to the new configuration. Angle of intake flange to china wall. Its all going to be machined to as one.

DAWG 11-07-2015 06:36 PM

ill be taking it to a machine shop using the dyno. Ill ask the machinist what he thinks. the knock off is the same as my super victor intake..
these are the race series rocker btw
•Available in all ratios
•Lightweight for maximum performance
•Easily handle .950” lift and 950 lbs of open spring pressure
•Clear 1.625” valve springs
•Micropolished surfaces finish for maximum durability
•Anodized for additional protection and aesthetics
•Exclusive LIFETIME WARRANTY - all series
machine shop sez no worries, Scorpion had a bad rep earlier but have improved.
