A sincere thank you to DavidS!!!
Some of you possibly know that the past couple of days I took the trip down to Connecticut to visit our site moderator David to clean up his fleet of vehicles for him. I wanted to start off by saying thank you to him for inviting me into his home and the hospitality that he and his wife gave me was second to none!
Upon arrival I was greeted by David and was given a tour of the home and we discussed the scope of work to be done and I started on my way. I didn't have time to take any before shots only afters. First on the list was his 2500 HD tow vehicle. On top of a interior detail and polishing he opted for the longer lasting Ceramic paint coating. http://i56.photobucket.com/albums/g1...pseqp6mt5e.jpg http://i56.photobucket.com/albums/g1...psrnqw656o.jpg Next was a express detail on his daily driver cts4. The express package is a great option for a everyday driver that doesn't want to get into machine polishing. This includes a thorough wash and exterior decontamination process along with a quick spiff of the interior. A sealant is also applied to the exterior surfaces for protection and gloss. http://i56.photobucket.com/albums/g1...psqvcruthx.jpg http://i56.photobucket.com/albums/g1...pscc0gvdtd.jpg Now onto the fun stuff lol! The Yenko clone received a waterless wash since with classic vehicles I try not to introduce a flood of water if needed. And a proper decontamination to remove any embedded contaminates in the surface. Along with a machine polishing and sealant the interior received a quick touch up. Love the gloss on this color. http://i56.photobucket.com/albums/g1...psiydiqlua.jpg http://i56.photobucket.com/albums/g1...pscj5gjebz.jpg http://i56.photobucket.com/albums/g1...psvi5fons2.jpg http://i56.photobucket.com/albums/g1...psbzn77xwd.jpg Next was the 68 driver lol This one did get a traditional wash and decontamination mainly in part to the heavy amount of dust, grime. This also received a machine polishing and sealant. Also a quick polishing of the aluminum wheels and chrome bumpers. The interior received a quick touch up as well. I have to say that this color really stood out when finished. David and I were both a little stunned by it lol! http://i56.photobucket.com/albums/g1...psvcpkm4jt.jpg http://i56.photobucket.com/albums/g1...pscuzsp0nu.jpg Last but not least is the most important ride of all. David's wife's Subaru. She got a bit jealous seeing his rides being treated and she wanted in ha-ha! It received the same express package as the cts4. http://i56.photobucket.com/albums/g1...psa4mtzr8e.jpg http://i56.photobucket.com/albums/g1...pskabofdrx.jpg http://i56.photobucket.com/albums/g1...pszsv9xzss.jpg Thanks again! It was really a great time and I enjoyed working on the vehicle's. |

No problem sir. I will pm you now. |
Thanks Justin. It was great having you over and the vehicles came out awesome!!!
The white 69 was looking so nice that I was having second thoughts about taking it to the car show today. It was an hour drive there and an hour back. It got a sponsors trophy which was nice. They parked me in an area that was sandy and I kept thinking that I was killing the work you did. Hopefully not though. Thanks again for fulfilling a tall order. 5 vehicles in two days. You do beautiful work. You forgot to do the plow truck though.....lol. Dawg....the 69 Z is back at Labrecques for a few small changes before the 2016 Camaro Nationals. For example, the front lower valence has to be painted body color on the inside. Who the heck would see that except for a judge with a flashlight while it's on a lift......jeez. I need 50 more points to hit Legends Gold with it. |
I really like the hidden reflection of my Chevy sign in this pic:

In this pic, I am talking to the husband and wife owners (that I just met today) of O&G. They have a good sized company that sold me the cobblestone pavers for my driveway. Sometimes, it's a small world. Except for being hot as blazes, it ended up being a real nice day! I thought you might be out of state on a service call. I called you on the way home, but no answer. |

Quick implies that you breezed through it, but nothing could be further from the truth. You said you have OCD when it comes to the details and I believe it. Beautiful work and I definitely appreciate it. |

From the time that I pulled in, two boys (about 8 and 11) and their dad kept coming over and were desperately wanting to start the car up and rev the engine. These boys I think came from the movie Talladegega nights and had me real paranoid. Their dad was cool, seemed embarrassed, said that "only my boys would want to do this kinda stuff".....but it made me even more paranoid. I told them to come back at the end of the show since we shouldn't be doing it when there was a lot of crowds around. They came back every hour. At least 4 times. This made me massively paranoid. Near the end of the show, a state trooper in uniform came over and he really loved the car and talked to me about his 68 Chevelle for about 15 minutes, and the boys came over again. He thought it would be OK and supervised them through the whole thing. Even when they started to bury it to the floor he ordered them to back off. Thank god for small miracles. lol. |

Ha-ha you are definitely correct! The main reason I say " quick touch up" is because if I don't do a full interior detail like I did on the truck then to me it's a quick touch up. But you are correct in that there's usually nothing quick about it. Quote:
