WTB: LS1 rear brakes

Need a set of backing plates, calipers, and all the other hardware. Anyone got a setup?

ILuvPizzaTimes10 10-11-2009 05:30 PM

why would you run that? just askin? i like the ebrake setup on the LT1 Much better less moving parts.

I can use LT1 brakes but then when I need to get the backing plates swapped to the S60 it costs extra whereas LS1 brakes are adapted for free. I'll take either I guess since I have the shitty iron calipers anyways on mine.

LS1 brakes are a good upgrade for mine though.

theres a LS1 car in the junk yard that my father works at. I can check and c what they want for it.

What do you have for front brakes? If you have stock 3rd Gen I wouldn't put the LS1 brakes on until you have better front brakes, might make for a nasty imbalance

I can swap the LS1 brakes on and still be fine, but I have a 1LE front setup here anyways. Just want the LS1 rears for the new rearend.

1LE should be plenty, I would get an adjustable proportioning valve though, just in case

Yeah I was thinking that as well. I wouldnt mind getting a LS1 setup all around just figured I NEED the rears 100% now.

i would go LT just for better wheel fitment

I can fit my wheels since theyre 16" I just dont want to hafta deal with Strange having to modify them when it comes time to get my rear in Jan.
