Most comonly caused by slipping clutch. Have no idea why people think it's hydrolics.

i can see a bad clutch causing it at wide open throttle, but my clutch pedal would fade out driving normally on the street, i would literally have to pump it up to get it back, top of pedal would get spongy at random, clutch would grab right off the floor at random. it was more than just loosing the pedal at wot. i flushed and bled the system several times, several different ways, totalling a case of brake fluid since its been on the road. was just waiting for the day the pedal faded out and car took off unexpectedly. i dont know about you but after that much time and effort it was time to accept reality and fix it. put 125 miles on it tonight with the new master and slave and it drives awesome, pedal is 100% every time all the time.

Sounds right then. Thought it was just hammering on it by reading older posts.

Glad you flipped that car so quickly...LOL
