I'll have to check yours out.

I get paranoid with anything connected to the carb. I once had this kickdown kit on my 68.

When I start the car, I always push down fully on the gas pedal one time and then start it. It was working with no problems, but one time, the car immediately went to WOT on startup. The crummy little solid cable piece bent and kept the carb fully open. If it happened while driving, I would probably be a tree pancake.
