Bringing life back to a 80s SL560 Benz 22k miles

Hey guys just wanted to share a few teaser shots of a mid 80s SL560 that I was hired to bring some life back too. It has 22k original miles and paint. Except for the hood witch was resprayed not very well. This paint is single stage and although it oxidizes worse than base/clear it can be polished back like no other. As of now the car is about 80% complete. The roof needs to be polished as does the windshield cowl which will be done by hand. Then just need to go over the trim and such. Should be done in the next day or two.

Here it is in the owners driveway upon initial inspection. Notice how it has that pinkish look to it.

This is after a waterless wash and claybar to decon the paint.

Here is where it gets fun. This is a 50/50 of the trunk. Using my DA polisher a Microfiber cutting pad and some Menzerna IP2000.

Another shot of the rear quarter polished out and the door untouched.
