blinkers and running lights acting up
 

ok this is kinda odd. you know how theres two sections of the front marker lights, the inside (blinker) and outside (running light). when i start my car instead of the running lights turning on the blinker section turns on and the running lights remain off. the blinkers still work normally as far as blinking and the only way to get the running lights on is to turn on my lights( parking lights or headlights). its pretty simple just hard to put into words haha

I dont know if this relates at all but the switch in the e-brake that keeps the lights from coming on at night and also lights the brake light on the dash stopped working the other day but works again now. somethins probably just loose there but do you think its affecting my lights? thanks!!

Is this an F Body? It almost sounds like what happens when the DRL module is unplugged.

It's worth a look anyway, easy to check, it's right behind the radio. Little box with two connectors. If you need more info go to LS1Tech and do a search, lots of info on it there.

the drl module is located behind the radio.. its a possibility the connections are loose...but the ebrake issue can also be part of that issue as well...i had a little write up about it on the old site. to bad i didnt put it on here. i unplugged one of the connections and just got rid of the DRls they burn to many damn bulbs

ok I checked the drl module and it was connected and everything. ill check out the e-brake thing later, been busy past couple days. but i got cool bulbs for the running lights and i wanna get them back lol they looked cool, but thanks!

its a possibility it needs to be replaced(it controls 2 diff things hence 2 plugs so its a possibility only one shit out)...check all ur wiring and grounds etc also....the ebrake issue can be related cause it also controls whether the headlights turn on or of which also affects the daytime running lights.

all you need to look for is the brake light on in the cluster, if it isnt its not the e brake switch and you need an new DRL module. IF your wiring is good. there is also a DRL fuse in the glove box and if it pops will do the same thing.

if the fuse popped none of his lights/blinkers) would work. same if the whole module was junk...it sounds like a wiring issue or just one of the plugs

are you sure? ive pulled the fuse on purpose and it acted wired but shit still worked if you manually turned them on. like blinkers and headlights. T/A's different maybe?
