Me, with a camaro?

Ok, I'm bored, so I figured I'd start up a build thread since I plan to be making some more upgrades in the next couple months ;)

The car is a 95 Z28. Lt1/T56 car. I'm normally a firebird guy, never really been a camaro fan, but, the deal I got on this car was too good to pass up. When I got it the mods it came with were ported stock heads/intake, lt4 hot cam, roller rockers, pacesetter mid length headers, broomstick modded cat, magnaflow cat back, cold air intake, and a pcm4less tune.
Since I got it I've added a walboro 255 fuel pump (stock one puked), replaced the accel opti with an MSD unit (thanks to pizza!),a set of taylor 8.2mm plug wires, and a set of NGK tr55's.
All of this was good for 319 horse to the wheels on Slowhawks mustang dyno. The car is a blast to drive but looks like poo and, I can never leave well enough alone.
Here it is in all it's glory:

The chassis of the car has over 180k on it but the underneath is super clean.

However, the interior was trashed, and tan, yucky lol.

So, we picked up a complete 97 v6 car that had a mint 30th anniversary red insert interior, as well as all the body parts I need to make this one mint.

Anyhow, we did a complete interior swap, new style dash and all. Much much nicer in my opinion.
Here's a couple in process and completed pics:

Pile of old crap:

And all together:

And before anyone says it, yes, the v6 car was an auto so all I had was the new style auto console and the old style manual console. I got creative and mated the two together. Works for now lol. Anyone have a spare 97 up t56 console floating around?

Also did the 97 up taillight conversion. My other half decided she likes the new lights better. No pics there. They're taillights, you know what they look like lol.

More to come soon. Comment away :)

Yes, I completely agree. I didn't like the 96 down dash AT ALL! Plus we had to do a heater core anyhow so all the more reason to swap.

And as for the heads, I agree and you're killing me. I didn't want to spend too much more on this car this year. Really want my 87 out this year too. Most of what I plan to do to this now I already have laying around. But yeah, when/if you decide to let me know. You never know, I will need a good set of heads for the 383 I'll build when I blow up the current motor... ;)

Honestly, not too bad. Me and my other half did the whole interior swap in an afternoon. Including stripping it from the parts car too.

Only advice is grab as much of the donor car harness as you can. Most of the swap is a bolt in but you do have to change a few connectors and extend a few wires here and there.
Only time consuming part is the cluster, changing the big plug for it. Just got a pinout diagram for my car, and the cluster out of the 93 bird we used, and spliced whatever wires wherever they had to go. Patience and it was right the first try :)
