little issue with my daily driver.
Iam not too sure what is causing the problem buy lately my 99 saturn sl2 5 speed has been having a E-Brake light come on when I accelerate from a dead stop at around 15mph or so and then it stays on until I come to a complete stop. I havent check the master yet to see if the fluid is low, but I was also wondering if it could be a wheel speed sensor or something else?

Definetly sounds like low fluid Justin. A sensor would set the ABS light on, not the brake light. Could be a bad connection also. Possibly the e-brake is not fully released and setting the light off also.

Thats what I thought. Thanks Ron....

check fluid other then that on the bottom of the arm of the ebrake lever there is a contact point that turns the light on make sure it isn't bent somehow should be a small switch looking piece of copper with a wire,

Ebrake light not going off seems to be really common I had the problem with my first toyota camry.
And I know several other higher mileage (especially imports) with this little issue. Like others said just check the contact. |
