For the sake of arguing... People have been burning chips and crap for thirdgens for over 15 years now. I know a few people who do it on their cars right now as well and have had very good success. One of them being a F1A Procharged 383... at that point I say just go carb but he wants the EFI and it's worked out for him.
You dont hafta be a rocket scientist to give yourself a base tune just need to be careful and dont go WOT all the time!
