No the wheel size will not make a difference. A radial tire isn't going to wrinkle up the sidewall like a bias ply slick will no matter how hard you launch it. NT555Rs do have a little softer sidewall than a normal radial tire, but used on a 17" wheel the sidewall flex is not too bad. Also NT555Rs are not designed to need very low pressure to get the best traction.

Alright, awesome, thanks for the info. Ive found "ask once, do once" works better the fail once, ask once, then do it again and get it right. haha, So would it still be wise to have a full set of summer tires (for long long drives) and then just a set of DRs for the back or just run the DRs 24/7 in the back. I ask cause for instance my brother lives 4 1/2 hours north in Maine and don't know if the DRs would be wise to travel that far on or if I wouldn't notice a difference either way. And again thanks for helping a newbie.
