The NT555RII is basically the same tire but with a stiffer sidewall, it is aimed more at the autocross crowd. The idea is that it will handle better but ride a little firmer. Never driven on one so I don't know how they are.

I do want a car that can run a good 1/4 but I don't want to lose the joy of some squiggly roads, thats my fear with building this. I wanna try stay in the middle of a drag car and a auto cross car. Part of why no slicks and skinnies for me. Same reason my cam and head choice down the line will be in the middle. At the end of the day I don't care about 1/4 times and dyno #s, I want a car thats solid everywhere and not lacking and fun to drive any time. So no .600+ lift cams, 200cc heads here, or 5000stalls, not this build atleast.
I also looked into this but couldn't find a solid answer. Would running say the 555rII up front be worth it, turning performance over a nice summer tire?
