Default Any advice?

Ok, so ever since I bought my car, the front bumper has had a few paint chips, I know its pretty common for F-bodys due to the fact that you can not see the nose of the car while driving. This is very annoying, especially when I go to car shows, cuz its the only thing wrong with the body of the car. One of my goals this winter is to get it fixed. I cant decide on trying to paint it myself or to just spend the extra money and get it professionally done, I also want to repaint my hood as well, as it has some paint chips. I'm fairly new to painting, Ive painted a few things with a rattle can, but ive never used an actual gun. If I were to paint it myself, any advice would help.
Thanks

He's bottledbird68 on here. I've seen his work in person and it's excellent. I'm sure he'll show up here soon enough.

You could also just find a decent Auto Body Shop and ask them how much...

Typically I've seen bumper repaints from most places are in the $300-$500 range, so it's not a ridiculous fix to have it done by a shop.

Ya, I've been to a shop to get a quote, I may just go that route, but anyone know where I can find the paint code on my car? thought for sure it would be in the drivers side door jam.

It should be, or the back of the driver's door itself. maybe the glove box?

Pizza, whitinsville is over an hour from where I live lol. He is close to the club though.
Anyhow, if you're after a really nice job I wouldn't make the car your first spray job. By the time you get the equipment and materials to do the job properly you won't be too far off from paying a shop, may even cost you more if you have to re do it cause your first effort isn't show worthy.
Not telling you not to learn and experiment, just learn on a beater car first, not the one you care about.
Paint code on a 4th gen I forget, center console? Rear hatch on spare well plastic? Check those.
And if you don't mind driving I could help out but I'm in Athol. And I'd need at least a couple pics and more detailed info of said defects before I could ballpark a quote.
Any other questions, ask away. Just remember that doing it yourself you're most likely looking at around at least $150ish just in materials to do it. Then if you need a spray gun... Plus your aggravation.
Course then again, I'm also a do it yourself kind of guy so I understand either way lol.

I just wanted to see if I could save a few bucks haha. There are pictures of the damage in my album. What happened was the car got backed into when the previous owner had it, and the paint is just chipping away, theres also a crack on the passenger side by the signal lens, which makes me want to buy a whole new bumper all together. And I dont mind driving far at all, I have the weekends off, the only problem is the car is not registered (which was a mistake on my part) I know of a really good shop nearby, I got a quote from him a while back with a whole new bumper, and it wasnt that bad. I may just do that come spring.
