Default The pucker factor......

Well with my career at Stewart coming to a close in less then 2 months I took a look back at some of the most exciting things I could find on You be that I was a part of and their associated pucker factor....

#1 Airshow demonstration in 2003, pucker factor of 3, but in a fun way
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SwMFIjMPb0E&feature=fvsr

#2 Landing on Kwajalien atoll itty bitty runway, pucker factor 4
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LMAts2f1jXA

#3 720,000 pound short field take off in Norway, pucker factor of 6
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CjmG4bwMfcc

#4 807,000 pound take off out of Puerto rico on a 100+ degree day, pucker Factor 8
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1Psty8yCewc

#5 ANY combat low level flight, Pucker factor of 9
http://www.facebook.com/video/video....69321999&saved

#6 Landing in a sandstorm with fumes in the gas tank, pucker factor of 10
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=G74fsUhu8IA

Other notables with no video:
-having rockets shot at you in flight, factor of 10
-falling off the cliff at the end of the runway in Guam on an 820,000 pound take off, factor of 10
-mid air near collisions, factor of 10
-Flying in the leading edge of a hurricane, Factor of 8

List could go on for awhile, been a pretty crazy ride...

Unfortunately (and fortunately I guess too) with the Super Galaxy coming on line now with the phenomenal CF-6 engine that sound is going to be a thing of the past. To put it in perspective the above video in PR of us eating up 14,000 feet of runway and barely getting airborne, the Super galaxy will do that take off in 4500 feet and climb out a 20 degrees nose up instead of waddling away.

Us:

Them: (Actually this is the inbetween stage from the old plane to M, the M has different throttles)

I'll miss that obnoxious whine. I wonder when Westover's planes are getting M'd.
