Default 98 Vette LS1 engine 86k miles for sale.

Complete from intake to oil pan, all acc except a/c. Runs great, parted the car myself, kept the engine for my GTM project but since I went a different route this engine is just sitting in a crate. I am asking 2k. This is a no stories engine.

To answer a few questions I received.....

Yes, it comes with intake, TB, rails and injectors.

Yes it comes with the fuel rail covers that say Corvette.

Yes, it comes with the computer and wiring harness.

Yes it has all accessories except for the a/c pump.

No, there is absolutely nothing wrong with the engine.

I am open to trades as wel if it interests me.

Jim

Why is the 98 no good? Second year engine, it was my understanding the 97 was the mutt engine. The 98-00 were the same then some revisions from 01-04. Am I mistaken? No ass hurt, I really want to know.

Thx

1997 and 98 are the same in the vette with the perimeter bolt valve covers and weak rod bolts. to name a couple issues. But bolt can be easily fixed with a new set of rod bolts and some 799/243 heads!

My buddy nick was pushing like ~430 rwhp with his 98 until he toasted a lifter. you gotta hit the right harmonic frequency to break the bolts so it depends on your build
