Probably why it didnt blow up. A lot of the guys at the nationals set their limiters low to not cause too much strain on the motor. I know one of my buddies does from 7000 to 5600.

yeah but bouncing off the limiter causes more strain then just knowing how to drive and not hitting it at all.
