Default Seekonk Spec Drags clips

I've been slipping down the ranks at Seekonk Speedway in the past few years, but was able to get 2nd place last weekend. Here's some clips in order of rounds that someone put online:

Looks like cold pavement. What tires where you running ? I raced Sunday on my Nittos and I was breaking them loose at 10am from 50 roll with just throttle lol. I was like this is not right.

Yes pavement was definitely cold! We have a 100 treadwear minimum rule in the drags so many people have Nitto NT-01s, 555rs, etc. I have NT-01's in the front and 555r drag radials in the back (which aren't really drag radials). The thing is.. usually when I slip, that's it. I'm done. I was able to keep control of it this time though for the most part.

Also I did get a little luck with Al and Mike V's cars breaking down, so I can't say I cruised through everyone. I was able to beat Chris Gomes though.

From my clips, I noticed I'm really sliding down the hill on my launches. I'm not sure if I can do something about that... I know that you can stiffen up the swaybar for the drag strip when the car doesn't leave straight... but I'm not sure if that applies here.

Yeah the lunch seems to be where everyone wins the spec drags since the track is so short. You are definitively faster entering and exiting the corners on the last run you just broke the rear out on the final corner. Does your car have koni SA's on it if so you should soften that rear up it will help launches and oversteer. If you really wanna win you should purchase some scrubs for your car from http://www.jbracingtires.net/index.htm. I have raced on some pirelli non dot slick scrubs and they where incredible.

I have SAs on full soft in the rear on both sides with strano springs. Also have a stock 19mm rear swaybar with a 35mm front. I think it may end up boiling down to playing with shock settings left to right. Also I should get some weight on the inside rear of the car in that corner.

I put in the UE decoupled torque arm and so far I think it's working pretty well. No doubt does it hit my tires harder on a launch! That's a huge uprade for me.

You want the rears alittle harder then full soft. And your back left softer then right if you were launching on flat. On the bank it may be a learning curve . Either way back all soft is not good for launching you want it alittle hard to push down on the wheels to pavement.

If I had Koni double adjustables then that would work John. I think you're talking about adjusting compression. On SA's you can only adjust rebound.

They are only rebound adjustable? That sounds strange to me.

with one being adjusted the other has to move as well. you cant have more or less then 50/50. ie 70/30 or 90/10. 50/70 is not possible on any shock. So when you adjust one you are indirectly adjusting the other.
